Advices before heading to Taman Negara

Purpose of issuing entry permit and camera license

Every tourist is required to purchase a Park Entry Permit and an optional Camera License before entering the National Park. Park Entry Permit costs RM1.00 per person while camera license costs RM5.00 per camera. Tourists that did not purchase the camera license are not allowed to use any cameras including phone cameras inside the National Park. These licenses are valid for 30 days and are issued at Taman Negara Wildlife department or Kuala Tembeling Jetty Wildlife Department.

Note:

Park Entry Permit is included in the package but camera license is not. Hence, we will collect an additional RM5.00 for each camera that is brought into the National Park.

Camera License is also required for phone camera.

The fees collected are for the maintenance of the National Park.

Important Notice

Tourists are strictly not allowed to collect anything from the rainforest. You should help in conserving the rainforest by not throwing rubbishes or destructing the nature of the forest.

Tourists who wish to trek deeper into the forest should hire a licensed tour guide with them. This is to ensure your safety as the tour guides are very much experienced in the jungle.

Tourists should not make any loud noises that will disturb the other tourists during the trip. The natural sound of the rainforest is the most relaxing sound for you and each tourist should have a chance to experience this in the rainforest.

Tourists are also required to listen closely to the tour guide’s briefing during the trip. The tour guides may give advices and tips for you to stay out of any troubles in the forest.

Toilet Notice

Tourist who want to use the washrooms may inform our tour guides during the trip. It is advisable that you use the washroom prior any activities so that you will not drag the time of the other tourists and affect the schedule of the trip.

ATM Machines and Wi-Fi Access

There are no ATM machines or money changer companies in the National Park or Kuala Tahan. Hence, it is advisable that tourist bring enough cash for the trip. Tourists who wish to change their money during the trip may seek help from us. You should inform us before entering the National Park so that we could bring you to the nearest currency changing companies located in town.
Most of the resorts offered in our packages provide Wi-Fi access.
